The Light Blue Jacket

Woah, brightness much? Not sure if this is an old school blazer or a hand-me-down worn by a magician at Cobb & Co? Regardless, I imagine if the doors to Mike’s walk-in wardrobe are left open at night he must have a hard time getting any sleep. Also, worth noting, Mike must really likes this skull design t-shirt because he’s worn the same one in bogan black. Coincidentally, this is also the reason why bogans no longer wear skull t-shirts.

The Zipper Jacket (take 2)

Repeat offender. This jacket was first spotted on Mike on 13 April 2015, but was at its peak in fashion in 1982 when drug dealers and bikers wore them. These days they can be spotted on women, bisexuals and X-Factor contestants that need an edge. The charcoal number that Mike is wearing underneath the jacket features the planet Saturn, which is to scale with his ego.

The Satori Jacket

Before it went bust in 2009, Satori was an Italian menswear store that trolled rich Remuera residents into spending top dollar on embarrassing outfits. Mike Hosking was their poster boy. Here he is sporting an awful jacket from the Autumn 2005 range, which is essentially two different jackets from the 2004 range that didn’t sell, sewn together. Happy days.

The Women's Puffa Jacket

Jesus. Is this camo jacket covered in ecstasy polka dots turned inside-out on purpose or is it actually made this way? What is clear is Kate Hawkesby is defiantly dressing Mike each morning to ensure that no female ever, ever, ever hits on him. Prey for Mike guys.

The Eiderdown Jacket

While a quilt suit jacket is terrible in itself, it’s the contrast collar and pocket trim that really puts it over. The clashing diamante print on the t-shirt helps reinforce his embarrassing dad douchiness.

On this day Mike decided to go to work dressed as a lesbian and nailed it.

The Plaid Jacket

This image is heavily pixilated because it’s too hard to look at in full HD. Mike’s morning show producer goes through a full sheet of Panadol to ward off the migraines each time Mike wears it into the studio. Mike often tells a story about the first time he wore this plaid jacket to a National Party fundraiser in the lead up to the 2008 General Elections. He alleges that John Key’s wife complimented on the jackets shoulders pads while running her index finder down his arm.
